Smelly Big Apple Books

'New York, Phew York' Highlights the Sights and Smells of NYC

Author Amber Jones 'New York, Phew York' is a scratch and sniff children's book detailing the many different smells of the Big Apple. The book is about a family on vacation who, along with their hotel concierge, explore all of the sights, sounds and smell of New York City.

The book takes readers through 19 different parts of the city and features 20 different smells. Some of the smells in the book include pizza, garbage and steam heat. The book is written in rhyming couplets, but as Jones says, it seems like it would be great for people of all ages, especially native New Yorkers living far from home. 'New York, Phew York' was a Kickstarter project that reached its funding goal a few months ago and is now available for pre-order.
