Los Angeles-based illustrator Truck Torrence created these playfully illustrated emojis that pay tribute to the new Star Wars film that will hit theaters at the end of 2015. These simple yet distinctive characters aim to bring the science fiction universe to all smartphone keyboards.
Each of the cartoon-inspired emojis embodies a character from the Star Wars film franchise. Included in the vast set of emojis is a light saber, beloved robot R2D2 and storm troopers. While the emojis have been trickling into the keyboards of smartphone users since April 2015, a full 40 character keyboard was only recently released.
Truck Torrence, who is better known for his brand '100% Soft' worked with LucasFilm and Disney to create these Star Wars emojis. The minimalist illustrations are a perfect tribute to the next Star Wars film and will appeal to sci-fi fans.
