The additional space made room for a second-floor master bedroom and ground-floor family room, which opens out into a cozy personal garden. The extension's facade was designed with incongruous sides and bright colors, making it a stand out feature on an otherwise simple Montreal lane way.
As for the interior, it features exposed beams and wooden walls that act as contrast on the otherwise stark, all-white surroundings. Natural light is encouraged via a skylight and glass floor at the center of the house.
