The National Ecology Center Ecorium Caters to Five Climate Zones

People won't have to travel too much to experience the diversity of the world's ecosystems thanks to the National Ecology Center Ecorium. They'll simply have to find their way to Seocheon, South Korea, where is has been built. It is essentially a large undulating series of greenhouses (or biomes) that allow visitors to become acquainted with different climate zones. Five, to be exact.

Designed by Grimshaw Architects in collaboration with S.A.M.O.O., the National Ecology Center Ecorium is made up of five enclosed spaces that house a variety of flora and fauna. The structure of it was inspired by the crescent shape of an oxbow lake, a body of water that forms as a meandering river changes course. It makes quite the impression.
