This Chain is Offering Its Own Take on a Nashville Specialty

KFC is currently running a campaign for its own version of a beloved Nashville specialty. Nashville hot chicken is a fried chicken dish that is coated in a spicy paste made from cayenne peppers. Although the dish originated in Nashville, it is becoming increasingly popular outside of Tennessee.

To give consumers a taste of KFC's version of the dish, the popular fast food chain is launching a nation-wide food tour. The tour is set to visit eight towns named Nashville that do not have a KFC of their own. The lucky residents in these towns will have an opportunity to taste KFC's new Nashville Hot Chicken ahead of its nationwide launch. The dish itself is a take on the Nashville specialty and it consist of fried chicken spiced with cayenne and paprika.

The tour takes place throughout the month of January, with the nationwide release likely slated for early February.
