At the Detroit Auto Show 2014 ‘The One Show’ and the NAIAS present the "Automobile Advertising of the Year Awards". ‘The One Show’ is a non-profit organization which promotes advertising. The awards are presented to automakers all around the world who have attention grabbing commercials. The award selection processes is based on popularity amongst fans and viewers- which in turn displays effective marketing strategies.
The awards are presented to the auto industries best in print, television and video of the year. The top five automobile commercials were; Honda’s "Illusions", Honda’s "Hands", Smart Car’s "Off-Road", Range Rover’s "Roam Free", and Dodge Durango’s "It Comes Standard". The Dodge Durango commercial however takes the cake! It features Will Farrell as his Anchor Man character Ron Burgundy, and it’s a fan favorite- winning multiple awards.
