Painted Musical Instruments

An Artist Creates Intricate Artwork on Top of Old Instruments

Musical instruments are often used solely for the purpose of playing them and occasionally as collector's items -- but these ones have been transformed completely.

Created by the artist 'Tammillia,' the musical instruments are both beautiful and likely still functional. The artist creates imaged landscapes, ocean scenes and intricate patterns on the instruments, with her most interesting skill being that she is able to replicate galaxies in a way that is almost realistic. While she removes the strings on the guitars and violin that she paints on, if they were added once again the instruments would be just as functional as before.

By combining her creative prowess with another outlet for creativity, this artist is able to create her own personal collector's items.
