Folding Multi-Leaf Tables

Juan Pablo Quintero's Table Design Integrates Flaps to Maximize Space

This multi-leaf table design by architect Juan Pablo Quintero was put together as a custom unit for Mediodesign, putting an emphasis on geometry. Tables with more than one leaf are not totally uncommon, but the placement of the folding surfaces is what sets this table apart from the rest. The Gironde Extendible Table can be folded upon itself, so that the surface of the table and all of its legs are neatly tucked against one another, which would make packing and transporting this furniture piece a breeze.

When it's standing, the table has a square shape that can be expanded with up to four additional flaps. The space-saving table design is a brilliant one for gatherings, since it is flexible enough to adapt its shape to suit the needs of a room.
