These MRI Scanned Food Photos Will Make You Want to Eat Your Greens

These MRI scanned food photos come to us from MRI technologist Andy Ellison who decided to use this advanced medical technology to show us all the cross-sections of different types of fruits and vegetables. He does so the same way he would have with a human brain. He scanned fruits and vegetables like bananas, garlic, jackfruit, pineapples, onions, passion fruit and many others.

The MRI technologist used a Philips 3 Tesla MRI. This machine is located at the Boston University Medical School. It is definitely a very interesting look into the fruits and vegetables that we should be eating. The MRI scanned food is mesmerizing beautiful. If there is a fruit or vegetable that you think would be a very interesting scan you can also email in a request, the more exotic the fruit or vegetable the better.
