Lush Urban Pavilions

Melbourne's MPavilion Will Host Art Installations, Performances and Lectures

The MPavilion is a unique multipurpose structure built right in the center of the arts precinct of the Australian city of Melbourne. Melbourne is how to lots and lots of parklands that are filled with trees under which people can relax on one of the city's famously balmy summer evenings, and the MPavilion aims to add to that.

This structure, designed by award-winning British architect Amanda Levete, is designed to host art installations, live performances, workshops, lectures and a variety of other events over the upcoming months of the Australian summer. MPavilion is located in the Queen Victoria Gardens just a few minutes away from Melbourne's city center.

Ultimately, Levete was looking to "create a sensation of a forest canopy in the heart of the city that gives shelter to a program of events."
