Urban Rooftop-Hung Pods

The Monade Capsule Hangs from Rooftops to Provide an Urban Oasis

As compact urban living becomes more prevalent, designers are challenged with creating new spaces for people to relax in the midst of urban chaos, which is why Alice Bleton created the Monade Capsule -- an L-shaped pod that can hang from the edge of any building.

The capsules aim to serve as the ultimate place for one to disconnect, offering a temporary oasis from the city that's both safe and easily accessible. The pod's are made from transparent pieces of fiber glass that let in natural light, while providing clear views of the city. Inspired by shelters that were designed to withstand the harshest of conditions, these capsules create the perfect temporary refuge for up to five people at a time.
