ioCube is a modular robotics kit that offers the user-friendliness of building blocks and the complexity of advanced circuitry, offering an educational and entertaining activity for STEM enthusiasts of all levels. These intuitively designed panels are made to snap together so that all sorts of configurations can be created. With components that can be programmed using Blockly or Arduino, ioCube offers a beginner-friendly introduction to learning programming or developing more complex ideas.
With this modular robotics kit, there are up to 36 external panels and 25 components, including a small, multi-speed motor, an 8x8 LED for displaying graphics, a laser rangefinder and more.
More than two years worth of work went into designing and prototyping this modular robotics kit and it's now being shared with the world via a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.
