Nika Zupanc's Modernist Furniture Collection Debuts at Milan Design Week

Mixing retro and contemporary in such a crafty way, the new modernist furniture collection by Slovenian designer Nika Zupanc for London design label Sé is stunning.

Recently unveiled at Milan Design Week 2014, the new modernist furniture collection is the designer's third collaboration with the design label. Inspired by 1950s furniture in a private sports club, the collection of furniture and products is strongly influenced by modernism shapes, vintage textures and sporting motifs.

The designer used luxurious materials like marble, brass and wood to add an opulent feel to the collection, which almost gives the pieces a luxurious ancient Greece look.

"With Collection III, I wanted to blend timeless elegance, sensitivity and tenderness with a splash of smoky, determined and even masculine reality," says the designer.
