This Mobility Aid Boasts a Transformative Design and Add-Ons

There are thousands of mobility aids out there that currently improve the lives of those with mobility issues. One biomedical engineer, Eliza Wrobel, is now looking to the future of such devices with a 3D-printed prototype design of her own.

What makes her vision for a mobility aid a standout is that it introduces a highly versatile multifunctional walker for home and outdoor use. The walker features many parts that can be added or removed, such as a baby seat, a shopping basket, as well as smaller attachments like cup holders.

While the design of the mobility walker is still in the stages of being developed and prototyped, so far more than 100 individual parts such as wire pieces, straps and screws have been created with CAD modeling software.
