Incomplete Elliptical Reflectors

The Ego Mirror Design Looks Like Molten Metal

The Fetiche brand design duo Carolina Armellini and Paulo Biacchi created a limited edition mirror design called Ego Mirror for Brazil’s Artimage gallery.

Left incomplete and distorted with a stained and almost polluted look around the edges, each looking glass looks as though it is slowly melting down, trying to fill up its elliptical frame. The top half is all that is left, partially intact, showing just the face and head of the viewer to put the focus on identity and self-image. Custom-made using specially formulated chemical compounds, each mirror is different than the others in the collection for a unique perspective every time.

The Ego Mirror design is unconventional in its molten design, offering a distorted personal perspective.
