This Mexican-Inspired Hotel is Authentic and Charming

True travelers appreciate authenticity, and when it comes to design, there is no place more authentic than this Mexican-inspired hotel.

Located in Oaxaca, Mexico, this charming boutique hotel pays homage to its historical and traditional roots. The Mexican-inspired hotel was designed by Mexican architect Hector Esrawe of Mexico City-based design studio Esrawe. Working his magic to turn a neglected old building into the rustic and vibrant Azul Oaxaca hotel, Esrawe made sure to add contemporary touches, but not to kill the spirit of the vintage space. From filling the hotel with local artwork to give it more character to choosing Oaxacan cuisine specialties like shrimp in yellow mole for the hotel menu, Esraww also chose showcasing old Mexican films in the hotel’s screening room. Overall, the Azul Oaxaca Hotel is stunning and cultured.
