McGhee’s Bakery has announced a series of cakes debuting as an exclusive range at Tesco to help shoppers access a number of premium yet affordable treats this summer. The product range features three sponge cakes including the Victoria Sponge, Lemon Sponge and Toffee Sponge, which are priced at £3.50 each. The cakes come in a large square format that's intended to be portioned, sliced and shared from home to accommodate consumer interest in treats with a personalized flair.
Commercial Director at McGhee’s Bakery Aisling McGhee explained the new sponge cake range further saying, "When developing the range, we wanted to create cakes that delivered on both quality and value. The result is a soft, generously sized sponge cake that can be shared easily, offers flexibility on portion size and delivers the kind of homemade taste people expect from McGhee’s."
