Konstantin Chaykin introduced the Matroskin Wristmons watch as the latest addition to the independent watchmaker’s character-based Wristmons series. The limited-edition model references Matroskin, the cat from the Soviet animated series Three from Prostokvashino, through a dial layout combining animated facial features with Chaykin’s signature time display system. Rotating eye displays indicate the hours and minutes, while the lower moonphase complication forms the character’s mouth.
The watch is made with a blend of a stainless steel case with a striped dial configuration and oversized cartoon-style facial detailing across the display. Chaykin integrated the brand’s existing Wristmons display architecture into the Matroskin character layout, continuing a series known for expressive dial compositions and animated time indications. The independent watchmaker has previously produced multiple limited Wristmons releases featuring fictional and animal-inspired characters.
