The New Maple Macchiato Screams Canadian Pride

The new Maple Macchiato from Starbucks launches in Canada and offers a little pride in every cup. I am a huge Caramel Macchiato fan so this is most definitely something I will be trying.

Starbucks Canada has rolled out different flavored macchiatos in the past, including caramel and hazelnut, but this one is specific to our territories. The stereotypical flavor should come as no surprise. We did have Maple Moose Lay's chips win the contest and defeat some pretty delicious chip recipes.

The Maple Macchiato has real Canadian maple syrup drizzled on top, which alone makes it sound absolutely appealing. All of this with a mixture of steamed milk, vanilla syrup and a shot of espresso. You are able to order the drink hot or iced. The drink is supposedly "super super Canadian," according to Vancouver-based food blogger DesignGirl. We wouldn’t be surprised if it came with a free beer and a donut.
