Wicker has never looked as alien as it does in the Made in Mimbre Main Line. This is due almost entirely on their construction. Some of the designs boast long critter-like legs while others are suspended like UFOs. Although pretty otherworldly, it is also undeniable that they are quite elegant, a word not often associated with such material.
Created by in collaboration with Scandinavian designers Claesson Koivisto Rune and Chilean wicker weaving artisans, the Made in Mimbre Main Line is comprised of three different designs: Medusa, Chinita and Bellota. According to Trendir, "The idea behind this collection is that of employing local artisans to create contemporary objects in a professional context and in so doing preserve their wicker weaving techniques."
