Spherical Lunar Living Units

This Lunar Home Prototype by LUNARK Helps Researchers Thrive

This lunar home prototype has been designed by Lunark as a moon habitat that would enable explorers to thrive in harsh conditions and carry out research in a comfortable manner. The spherical design of the home hides living space within along with ample area to carry out various experiments and tests. The exterior is covered in solar cells that would effectively harness the power of the sun for generating energy for use with living and research protocols.

The lunar home is set to be tested in Greenland by Danish space architects Sebastian and Karl-John who live in the first generation of the unit for three months during a two-year trial. This will expose the dwelling to some of the harshest conditions on our planet to see how it could react to the brutal lunar environment in the future.
