Architecture studio Knox Bhavan is the mind behind the new upgrade and extension of the Love Walk II. It is a Victorian villa located in London by the conservation area of Camberwell Grove. The homeowners tapped the studio to help create a place where they can comfortably grow old whilst also improving energy efficiency.
Knox Bhavan speaks to Dezeen about the design project, stating "The brief was clear – to bring the Victorian Villa up to modern building standards, with light, space and functionality in abundance. We set out to deliver a scheme that balanced a contemporary extension with a retrofitted historic building, realizing a low-energy forever home. It has clear access for wheelchair users, with comfortable clearance to move about the ground floor."
