Louis Vuitton Loses the Court Battle Against Warner Brothers

Louis Vuitton has lost the ridiculous court battle against Warner Brothers for making fun of the fashion company in The Hangover: Part II for less than 30 seconds. What was supposed to be a funny joke got taken too seriously by this luxury label who were angered for their misrepresentation in the film.

In one scene the film makes fun of Louis Vuitton bags, even though the one used was fake, and they called the bag a "Lewis Vuitton." The judge Andrew Carter defended Warner Brothers by saying that "The likelihood of confusion to viewers is at best minimal," (Carter) and Louis Vuitton's allegations were unreasonable.

The Hangover: Part II made more than $580 million, but this is definitely not due to the fact that they poke fun of the luxury fashion company. Apparently the judge believed the film was more comical than Louis Vuitton, but what a waste of money for a lawsuit!
