Studio RHE renovated one of Trilogy Real Estate's London offices and incorporated a beautiful timber atrium. The complex was fully updated with cafes, bars and outdoor spaces, however, the most striking feature of the London office is the 10-storey atrium, constructed by glulam and cross-laminated timber—a wood combination that has been used more frequently in architecture as it fosters a sustainable and efficient construction process.
The enclosed structure is well-lit by a large overhead skylight. While the wooden materials inspire a calm aesthetic, the surrounding timber frames and balconies create a closed-off oasis. As a result, it offers a somewhat of a serene ambiance and a nice space to eat lunch or have an afternoon coffee.
