London Brewer Ciaran Giblin of London's Meantime Brewing Company has created the world's first DNA-based beer. The D.N.ALE is a one-of-a-kind pale ale designed to reflect brewmaster Ciaran Giblin's DNA taste profile. Following the success of the D.N.ALE, a Double IPA, Meantime Brewing Company was inspired to launch 'Meantime Bespoke,' a one-of-a-kind service that is made possible by a partnership with personalized genetics company 23andMe of San Francisco.

The data collected from the 23andMe analysis is used by the clever brewing company to identify possible genetic variants that could lend themselves to a particular taste preferences. Customers who opt to take part in the exclusive £25,000 package will receive 12 hectoliters (or approximately 2,000 pints) of their custom genetics-based beer. In addition to the customized pale ale, participants receive a study course entitled, 'The Knowledge.'
