Illuminated Red Arch Palaces

LIKEarchitects Adds a Pop of Color to the Portuguese Republic Palace

LIKEarchitects has added a few pops of color by placing illuminated red arches around the Portuguese Republic Palace in Lisbon.

The arches are found throughout the palace surroundings, including the garden and various walkways. The title of the piece is called 'Constell.ation,' with the red circular arches taking over trees and even walls. At night the palace becomes lit up by not only regular lighting, but also the overpowering glow of this modern installation. LIKEarchitects clearly understands the power of fusing the old with the new, as the clash between the two types of design makes both genres stand out even more. It's tough to say what kings and queens of days gone by would say, but for modern tourists these archways add an interesting touch. Photo Credits: designboom, likearchitects
