Part of a larger campaign entitled "Art in Unexpected Places," Japanese artist Takashi Murakami has designed a series of limited edition ski lift tickets for Aspen Snowmass in the Colorado resort town. The eye-catching illustrations highlight Aspen's role as an emerging hot spot for the art world.

The "Art in Unexpected Places" program is a joint initiative between the Aspen Skiing Company and the Aspen Art Museum. Murakami has previously collaborated with a variety of luxury brands including Louis Vuitton, while in recent years his projects have included a set of sneakers designed for Vans.
