The Lexus of Love Letters instillation is an impressive art instillation that celebrates the brands customer loyalty. Designed and created by artist Michael Murphy, an accomplished visual artist who helped pioneer perceptual art and is well-known for his large 3D instillation. The Lexus instillation features suspended origami spheres that create a the profile shape of the 2018 Lexus LS sedan when viewed from a side angle, but changes to the Lexus logo when viewed from other angles.
The 8 by 16-foot Lexus of Love Letters instillation is part of a greater marketing campaign by Lexus which is meant to highlight the positive experiences customers had at Lexus dealerships. This campaign features a new digital platform only ad that will air on Hulu and Pandora. Lexus has also released a making of video for the Lexus of Love Letters instillation, which shows the nearly 200 hours spent folding each letter and hanging the spheres.
