This Lake Retreat Features a Strong Connection with the Outdoors

Dick Clark + Associates designed a lake retreat near Marble Falls, Texas. The peninsula that the 'Lake LBJ Retreat' is located on, which is an hour northwest of Austin, was formerly a private fish camp.

After spending time in the existing home, the clients wished to build a new one to better reflect their maturing lifestyle. The architects took the existing tree canopy and wind patterns of the site into consideration when designing the new space. The finished structure features circulation paths and living areas that encourage a strong relationship with the site. The home is comprised of cast concrete, ipe siding and Rheinzink metal sliding.

Ultimately, the Lake LBJ Reteat is a scenic haven and getaway.
