Sculptural and voluminous, the project was created by designers Brandon Clifford and Wes McGee of matterdesign to demonstrate their range of skills and talent regarding interior architecture. Made out of hefty Baltic birch plywood, this vaulted masterpiece is quite permanent and immovable, yet looks as though it weighs next to nothing with a lace-like detailing and a multitude of geometric cutouts. It stretches across the ceiling like a spiderweb would fit between branches of a tree, arching elegantly and masterfully.
