'La Maison-Vague' by architect Patrick Nadeau is a very interesting affordable housing project that is currently under construction in Reims, France. The home is shaped like a huge hump covered in plants.
The benefits from a home like this, both to the environment and your wallet (think of the low cooling costs in the summer!) are many. If I was a kid living in this neighborhood, I'd be riding my bike right over La Maison-Vague the first chance I got.
