Swiss Horn Speakers

The 'L242' Was Inspired by an Archaic Horn Used in the Swiss Alps

The sleek 'L242' audio speaker was inspired by traditional musical horns used for centuries in the Swiss Alps.

The 'L242' speaker was designed by Estragon for VONSCHLOO, and uses a 360 degree design to replicate the look of an ancient musical object known as the 'Folle.' The simple and functional cone shape of the speaker makes it almost decorative in nature, and the entire construction of this device was also done by hand. The materials used include cement, wood, metal and fabric which were all carefully chosen because of not only how they atheistically work together with one another, but also to help maximize the optimal audio output as well.

This speaker design is available in two versions, both a standing and shelf model, and merges form and function together to create a perfect melodic harmony.
