Who says that a table must have four legs to support it? The KST Dining Table certainly gets by without the usual structure, rather asserting itself as kooky and contemporary with a frame that bends every which way.
Luxurious Carrara marble was used to manufacture the round tabletop of the piece, cut to a generous diameter of just over 1 meter. One would expect such a classic and expensive material to be paired with a stand of the same sort -- certainly not with anything like what Livius Haerer has matched it.
Relatively thin tubular steel, painted yellow, was used to construct the labyrinthine framework beneath the elegant stone. It connects to the KST Dining Table eating surface in four places, at unevenly distributed points, and bends back and forth at right angles to form an eccentric compositional contrast.
