These mesmerizing images of the rainbow-filled installation by multidisciplinary artist Kimsooja inspired a similar film version that showed at the recent Korean Pavilion at the Venice Art Biennale 2013 festival. Originally created in 2006, 'To Breathe - A Mirror Woman' features impossibly high ceilings, full floor-length windows and stunning multicolored effects. The installation was in Madrid, Spain in the Palacio de Cristal in Parque del Retiro.
Kimsooja wrapped the Korean Pavilion in a translucent film to create the naturally occurring rainbows. The rainbows were reflected in strategically placed mirrors so they also appeared to cover the entirety of the floor.
