The conceptual Kidear Headset has been designed by Seungchan Ahn and Yuna Jang as an accessory for young children to help them enjoy different audio experiences in a safe way.
The headset is imagined in a variety of different color options, which feature pops of pastels against the white headband. The wireless headphones will change color on the ear cup according to the audio level with green corresponding to a safe volume, yellow in the mid range and red meaning too high. This will help parents to keep track of children as they use devices, while the accompanying smartphone app will track usage hours.
The conceptual Kidear Headset responds to the increasing number of children spending extended periods using technology and the need for ways to ensure safe use.
