Josh Atlas Artwork is Deviantly Delicious

Josh Atlas Artwork is desert filled sculptures of indulgence. The Los Angeles-based artist Josh Atlas was inspired to capture the "holy-trinity of want," which is of course food, love and sex. Atlas fills the comical treats with a hedonistic nature decadently decorating each sculpture to the nines.

The tempting treats are made by playfully mixing sugary treats and everyday items, giving the sculptures an uncomfortably familiar feeling. As Atlas describes on his website, he wants to display the indulgence of these sugary sweets creating, "humour and laughter, the kind that comes from the delight of knowing that you’ve had too much but you’re going to get away with it." The sculptures succeed in portraying the the unnecessary, greedy and alas, even shameful side of desserts.
