The Jelly Smartphone Measures 3.6 Inches and Runs Android 7.0 Nougat

In a world of gigantic Samsung and Apple devices the Jelly smartphone stands out for its compact size. Despite measuring just 3.6 inches in length, Jelly is designed to do everything much larger phones can. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat and can download any app from the Google Play store. It features two cameras: a 2 megapixel one up front and an 8 megapixel lens in back. The creators of the Jelly smartphone, Shanghai's Unihertz, say the device is meant to be a secondary phone, as in the phone someone uses during business travel or while out exercising.

Having a second smartphone may sound like a luxury to some, but the Jelly smartphone is cheaper and more functional than most MP3 players. On Kickstarter a pledge of $79 is all it takes to secure one. The Jelly smartphone's Kickstarter campaign has a month left and has already shattered its funding goal. Deliveries are set to begin August 2017.
