Following a project that surrounded Tokyo's bright night lights, photographer Skander Khlif took his lens to the Japanese subway system.
The photographer, who's based in Munich, Germany, fell in love with the unique urban jungle upon travelling there, igniting his inspiration and leading him to capture it from every angle. What's most infatuating about his more recent project, titled 'Ground - 1 Tokyo,' is its ability to speculate on the reality of each subject.
By photographing people just as they board the Japanese subway, Skander Khlif inadvertently considers what's about to happen next and invites his viewers to understand each based on their appearance, pose and the expression on their face. The bright yellow paint that marks each of the trains makes each photograph stand out especially, as well as the movement of it which appears at light-speed.
