Drexel University Has Introduced an iPad Vending Machine for Rentals

Drexel University has introduced an iPad vending machine that will lend out up to 12 Apple tablets at a time to students. A program created by the University in partnership with the Free Library of Philadelphia, the vending machine will be added to the campus' Dana and David Dornsife Center for Neighborhood Partnerships.

The iPads will be loaded with the programs that students need to enhance learning as well as complete assignments, like Bowzine, Hoopla and Mango Languages, and is a hopeful sign in terms of modern institutions rethinking the learning model. As new crops of students are digital natives who may not have access to such technologies, this new iPad vending machine program may level the playing field for some students in need.
