Temperature-Sensing Interactive Village Huts

This Structure Responds to Thresholds of Temperature

An interesting and high-tech interactive village hut has been designed by the Tsinghua University School of Architecture. The structure is designed by students and faculty of the institution. It boasts an irregular shape. Located in Xiahuayuan Village, China, the compact building will operate as a visitor's center.

What is interesting about the design specs of the interactive village hut is that the structure is sensitive and responsive to the climate. If the temperature dips below 16 degrees Celsius, the walls of the building close and a heating coil system is triggered. If the temperature rises about 29 degrees Celsius, on the other hand, the doors open to promote ventilation, while air conditioning subtly supplements comfort levels on the inside.
