Cricket-Laced Milkshakes

'Wayback Burgers' Launches an Insect-Infused Milkshake on its Menu

Wayback Burgers has created an insect-infused milkshake that uses cricket powder to add protein to each delicious shake. The use of the cricket powder ensures that each shake serves between 96 and 140 crickets.

The insect-infused milkshake comes in a variety of flavors such as vanilla bean, chocolate and Oreo mudslide. Although this critter-inspired drink started as an April Fool's joke to get some pubic attention, the burger joint decided to make it really happen when the consumer demand became apparent. An excellent source of protein, these shakes have already proven to be a hot commodity as a refreshing summer treat.

A beef jerky shake will also appear on Wayback Burger's menu alongside the cricket shake during the 2015 summer months. The jerky shakes will be available in barbecue, maple syrup and hickory spice.
