Inner Cosmos Unveils a New Brain Computer Interface Design

Inner Cosmos introduces a new BCI, which is a brain-computer interface that was first unveiled last year in September. The neurotechnology company highlights the Digital Pill, which is a new brain implant that is designed to help treat depression using small electric pulses once it has been successfully inserted into the skull of a patient.

Now that it is running its second trial, the Digital Pill is about the size of a penny and sends pulses to the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex between times of 15 minutes. The pill also helps with monitoring neuronal activity to help understand how much stimulation should be given to the patient's brain. The hardware rests under the skin and is non-invasively positioned on the skull as reported by Forbes.
