Redesigned Industrial Lofts

This Amsterdam Apartment Embraces Industrial Elements

Architectural firm Witteveen Architecten has redesigned an industrial loft apartment in Amsterdam to give it an open-concept modern look with some industrial elements.

The spacious industrial loft has uniquely high ceilings and white walls, which makes it appear even larger than it is. The open concept is designed so that the kitchen, dining room and living room area are all connected -- making it an excellent home to socialize in or take care of children while still performing everyday tasks. The apartment also has a hidden play area, which makes it even more child-friendly.

The design becomes a little bit more minimalist as it progresses to the second floor, with less furniture, muted colors and clean lines. The most unique aspect of the home is the submerged tub with a small waterfall that is actually placed in the bedroom instead of the bathroom.
