Designers Conceptualize a Way to Retroactively Immortalize Kurt Cobain

Using urns that are made out of cremated ashes, designers have conceptualized a way to immortalize Kurt Cobain. Behind this project are SCI-Arc faculty members Ramiro Diaz-Granados (Amorphis), Heather Flood (F-lab), and Eric Kahn and Russell Thomsen (IDEA Office).

The Los Angeles-based creators call it a "retroactive urn for Kurt Cobain," and it is part of an exhibition in Seattle dubbed 'The Architect and the Urn.'

Implications - The four SCI-Arc faculty members all remember that the shocking death of Kurt Cobain was "the defining moment of the era." The Nirvana musician is a legend and was loved by millions of people. The urn that was made for the famous man has a very futuristic look to it.
