New Age Psychedelia

Surreal Imagery From Marcroy Smith

I love this work from 23-year-old Marcroy Smith in all its neon glory.

UK-based Marcroy Smith is young but has already delivered some great pieces for his portfolio. In particular, I adore the use of neon atop vintage black and white imagery. The use of hypnotic shapes is another one of his trademarks.

Implications - Psychedelic art is just as prevalent in today's art industry as it was in the 1960s and 70s. This may be due to the reemergence of hippie values within today's youth demographic, with love, freedom and positivity at the forefront of many a young mind. Ultimately, if companies are looking to speak to the younger demographic, they must first inspect the past and then plan a future.
