Although its name may suggest a lack of space, there is certainly nothing tiny about the HWKN MINI Rooftop. New York City-based architecture and design firm HWKN turned a lonely rooftop into a happening events area, complete with seating, a stage and a bar.
The HWKN MINI Rooftop was created for the automaker's Creative Use of Space project. The rooftop is equipped with a faux grassy hill, laid out in a grid. The small, white divots in the hill are actually seats, and the beige platform at the top functions as a stage for performers. The billboard behind the hill is a speaker stand/dance floor, and a bar is setup near the edge of the roof, complete with a view of the Hudson River. The entire rooftop is wired with LED lights, turning nighttime shindigs into a mini rave.
