Fairytale Writing Huts

WSD Architecture Gives One UK Author His Own Sanctuary

Some authors are so inspired by books written by themselves or others, that soon they begin to crave more of this fictional world in everyday life - WSD Architects has made this a reality with real-life writing huts.

The design was done for a UK writer and illustrator who has a passion for fairytales and mythology. The design is reminiscent of huts from novels such as The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, where a little girl stumbles across the house of a talking faun in the woods. Like the hut from the novel, this design by WSD Architects has a quaint fireplace, wooden facade and is hidden (as much as huts can be in a suburb), at the end of the garden.
