Bruno Catalona’s Bronze Human Figure Sculptures are Unique

French artist Bruno Catalona makes beautifully crafted human figure sculptures that may seem unfinished, but that’s the way the artist intended for them to be.

Catalano’s ‘Travelers’ human figure sculptures series contains missing pieces that the artist actually sculpted out that way. Missing parts of their torsos, mid-section and legs, Catalona’s bronze figurine sculptures are created that way because the artist wants the viewer to complete the sculptures.

Having been a sailor, Catalano chose to dedicate the series to the subject of the traveler as he believes many of us can relate to that.

"From years of being a sailor, I was always leaving different countries and places each time and it’s a process that we all go through. So the meaning can be different for everyone, but to me the sculptures represent a world citizen," says Catalona.
