Distinct Bus Stop Photography

Hufton+Crow Document Interesting Stops in Austria

Hufton+Crow are photographers who recently went around Austria to document distinct bus stops. The designs are part of 'Project: BUS STOP,' where certain architects were commissioned to build these structures and make them as distinct as possible.

Indeed, each bus stop is different from the next. What's interesting is how out of place the designs look compared to the surroundings. For the most part the stops are in the middle of the countryside, so the modernized structures are contrasted with rolling hills and greenery. This almost emphasizes how original the architects were when coming up with their designs. Some use more geometric shapes while others experiment with the materials used, but all of them are unlike any bus stop one would see in most cities.

Hopefully the bus stops will be used and explored to their fullest extent.
