The Huawei Mate 60 Pro smartphone has received a quantum security overhaul thanks to China Telecom, which was showcased at the 2023 Digital Technology Ecology Conference. The smartphone is capable of securing voice calls (VoLTE), messages and file transfers thanks to the Quantum Key Distribution algorithm, which will generate a new key before every use. The recipient then needs to use this key to decode the call, message or file, but not before they have verified their own identity.
The Huawei Mate 60 Pro smartphone makes use of Quantum SIM card technology and also boasts a custom chipset with algorithm to boot. No information regarding cost or worldwide availability has been announced as of yet, but is expected to be announced soon.
